Formed in April 2005, En Fuego (On Fire) have become one of the latest 'talked about' bands on the UK jazz scene. The unusual line up of the band comprises of 5 Trumpets & Rhythm Section (Piano, Bass, Drums) playing a wide range of musical styles from modern jazz to 'Bach-style' fugues. Influences include; Clifford Brown, Freddie Hubbard, Miles Davis, Woody Shaw, Dizzy Gillespie, James Morrison, Bill Chase, Arturo Sandoval, Maynard Ferguson..................the list goes on!!!!

The first three years have been spent building a vast repertoire that can be easily adapted to suit Jazz Clubs or festivals, with the main aim of celebrating the Trumpet and it's importance in jazz. Almost all of the arrangements and many of the compositions have been penned by the band members themselves, so expect something unique intertwined with some welcome twists on great standards.
